MassDOT Boston & Albany Corridor Service Development Plan Public Information Virtual Meeting

MassDOT is pleased to announce that the Boston & Albany Corridor Project - part of the West-East Rail initiative and the Commonwealth's broader Compass Rail vision to expand intercity passenger rail - is moving into its next phase: Service Development Planning. This phase will propose service levels, identify needed infrastructure improvements, and establish a governance structure for future passenger rail service on the Boston and Albany Corridor. 

The Boston and Albany Corridor has been accepted into the Federal Railroad Administration’s Corridor Identification and Development Program, a major milestone towards enhancing train service to benefit communities across the Commonwealth. You can learn more on the project website.

The general public and stakeholders are invited to a virtual public meeting on Tuesday, October 6, from 6:00 to 7:30 p.m. to kick off the SDP phase of the project. The project team will provide an overview of the SDP at the meeting and respond to written questions.
