Financial Literacy: How to Manage Your Money
This business starting series will give you all the necessary tools to start and run a small business this summer including financial literacy and planning skills, advertising, marketing and networking strategies, and customer service tactics. You will hear from professionals and local small business owners about how to build a successful enterprise and develop your idea into a business plan. At the end of this series you will have a working resume, advertising materials, a strong business plan, and the option to have a booth at the Teen Business Fair on June 13th from 10am - 1pm.
In this session you will:
- Set achievable business goals (short and long term)
- Learn basic money management including tracking income and expenses
- Understand saving, reinvesting, and spending responsibly
- Gain a basic understanding of credit
For teens ages 13 - 18. Please register.
One registration will sign you up for all four sessions.
Capacity: 18 of 20 spaces available.
Registration will be subject to the approval of the library
