What you will Learn:
Session 1 – Marketing Building Blocks
Saturday, February 7, 2026, 9am-12pm
The “4 P’s” of marketing and the elements of a message set, including the all-important Elevator Pitch. We’ll also launch into the concept of Integrated Marketing Communications (IMC), which includes your value proposition, go-to-market plan, and Unique Selling Proposition (USP).
You will then enter a small-group breakout session facilitated by a SCORE mentor to develop a customized IMC specifically for your business. When we reconvene, you will present your plan to the larger group for questions and challenges that will help you hone your marketing for business success
Session 2 – Solutions Marketing, Solutions Selling, and Market Positioning
Saturday, February 14, 2026, 9 am – 12 pm
Many if not most businesses think they are selling a product or service. But what a business needs to be selling for maximum return is a solution to a customer’s challenge. This session will introduce Solutions Marketing and give you a step-by-step framework for implementing this proven approach in your business. Case studies of successful transitions from product to solutions selling will also be explored.
From there, you will join a group of no more than five participants guided by a knowledgeable SCORE mentor to create a solutions-oriented marketing plan tailored to your business. SCORE will help you define your target customer, identify their pain points, and develop an effective Market Positioning message that lets customers know you can solve their problem. You will then present your plan to your peers for valuable feedback and suggestions.
Session 3 – Digital Marketing
Saturday, February 21, 2026, 9 am – 12 pm
With your Integrated Marketing Communications and Solutions Selling plans in place, you're ready to optimize your approach to Digital Marketing. Session 3 begins with an overview of key channels, and the role digital outlets play in your marketing mix. Topics we'll then dive into include:
Search Engine Optimization (SEO)
Social Media Marketing
Content Marketing and Email Marketing
Pay-Per-Click (PPC) Advertising
Analytics and Data-Driven Marketing
In the small-group workshop, you will be supported in creating a comprehensive Digital Marketing Strategy for your unique business. You’ll develop go-to-market plans for social media, email and text marketing, and online advertising, including messaging that resonates with your prospects. When we return to the large-group session, you will present your plan for comments.
Upon graduating from the course, each business owner will receive a set of tools, in the form of documents and tutorials, providing you with essential information and “how to” guides. A graduate certificate will also be presented for completion of the material.
